Henna designing has been part of my culture since way before i was born. It is not just designing but henna is believed to show happiness, beauty and feminism in our culture and religion. Be it your wedding or somebody else's , henna is an essential part of the whole program.

Infact in our muslim weddings, a whole occasion is named after the beauty of henna where the bride to be would seem unusually incomplete without maginificant and delicate patterns of henna dressed all over her hands and feet.

Mehndi(henna) is a tradition which lives with the same pride and value which it held hundreds of years ago. It is perhaps one of the few concepts which proved to be ever lasting. Today i am proud to say that all over my country the passion of henna still remains well founded at every "chaand raat" (the night before the EID (muslim celebration)) or wedding.

I for one am one of those people who enjoy henna on almost daily basis. Knowing and mastering the art of henna is one of the things i am immensely proud of and it gives me incredible satisfaction. Be it black henna or red , the little journey from where you put your first dot of henna till the end of the beautiful complete design is too precious for me to give up no matter how busy i am. The curiosity and impatience of washing your henna filled hands and fingers inorder to find out if the colour is red enough, is absolutely worthless.

I have been working on this hobby as a hobby aswell as a profession since i was perhaps ten years old. The joy of sometimes earning by doing something you love brings me the kind of satisfaction which nothing else can. I display some of my passion along with my Hub hoping that i have managed to show you all how much i respect and adore the art of henna.
